About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at Coast Capital. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and providing exceptional service to our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facilities and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Coordinate and manage facilities-related renovation projects, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Provide excellent customer service to employees and customers, responding to maintenance requests and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and new technologies to continuously improve maintenance and repair processes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective service delivery.
  • Conduct regular inspections and assessments to identify potential issues and implement proactive maintenance strategies.
  • Participate in emergency response and after-hours on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 coverage.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records and reports to track maintenance activities, inventory, and other relevant data.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in facilities maintenance, trades, or a related field.
  • High School Diploma plus completion of a Certificate Program (equivalent to one full year or 10 courses).
  • Recognized training courses in technical skills and trades that apply to Facilities Management and Building Operations.
  • A valid British Columbia Driver's License, possessing and maintaining a responsible and safe driving record.
  • Broad construction or Facilities maintenance-related work experience.
  • Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
  • Good judgement and decision-making skills for resolving maintenance and repair-related issues within a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Must demonstrate patience and tact, maintaining a professional manner at all times.
  • Must have the ability to deal cooperatively and communicate effectively with people in a wide variety of circumstances.
