Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Court Action Planning Program Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the YCAPP staff, placement students, and volunteers in working with young people to develop a plan for community-based interventions that respond to youth strengths and needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with leadership within the youth community justice programs to provide support and guidance in the delivery of the program to the YCAPP team.
  • Establish relationships with youth and their families and/or supports to support their ongoing engagement and involvement in their action plan.
  • Support the staff team in implementing the program model within the daily operations and programming and provide feedback and coaching as necessary.
  • Oversee the daily activities of the program, including ensuring that regular programming and supports are in place for the youth.
  • Develop and strengthen community partnerships and referral sources for clients, community organizations, mental health supports, youth shelters, etc.
Requirements
  • Minimum diploma in Social Work, Child & Youth Work, or related field and a minimum 2 years related experience or equivalent.
  • Knowledge and some experience working within the youth justice system.
  • Strong understanding of the many community organizations and supports available to young people.
  • Direct experience engaging with diverse populations and an ability to apply a culturally responsive lens to all interactions, including with clients, staff, and partners.
