About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Youth Court Action Planning Program (YCAPP) Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to work with young people and their families as they navigate the youth justice system.

As a YCAPP Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the YCAPP staff, placement students, and volunteers in working with young people to develop a plan for community-based interventions that respond to their strengths and needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish relationships with youth and their families to support their ongoing engagement and involvement in their action plan
  • Support the staff team in implementing the program model within daily operations and programming, providing feedback and coaching as necessary
  • Oversee the daily activities of the program, ensuring regular programming and supports are in place for youth
  • Develop and strengthen community partnerships and referral sources for clients, community organizations, mental health supports, and youth shelters
  • Maintain timely and accurate notes and logs using case management software, as well as other administrative tasks, as per our program model and policies
Requirements
  • Minimum diploma in Social Work, Child & Youth Work, or related field and a minimum 2 years related experience or equivalent
  • Knowledge and experience working within the youth justice system
  • Strong understanding of community organizations and supports available to young people
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders effectively
