Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Continental Seafood Restaurant. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen and ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality food and service.


Key Responsibilities
  • Establish efficient methods to meet work schedules and ensure timely service delivery.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, emphasizing the importance of quality control standards.
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we maintain a consistent and high-quality food offering.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Prepare food order summaries for our chef, facilitating effective communication and menu planning.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demands.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees, promoting diversity and inclusion in our workplace.
  • Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and refugees, providing support and resources to help them integrate into our community.
  • Support social and labour market integration of newcomers and refugees, facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
  • Recruit newcomers and refugees who were displaced by conflict or natural disaster, promoting diversity and inclusion in our workplace.
  • Support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition, helping them to access employment opportunities and advance their careers.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in food service or a related field.

Work Environment
  • 30 to 36 hours per week.
  • Permanent position.
  • English language required.
