About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Senior Developer to join our Digital and Technology Solutions (DTS) team at the Manitoba Government. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex projects, design innovative solutions, and contribute to shaping the government's technological future.

**Job Summary**
The Senior Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining business applications to meet the needs of Departments by interpreting specifications for coding, testing, and supporting the applications in accordance with Government of Manitoba ICT Standards and Architecture.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain business applications to meet the needs of Departments
- Provide functional coaching, mentoring, and quality assurance reviews to Developers to ensure all standards are met
- Oversee the maintenance and support of 10 to 20 applications
- Coordinate the resolution of between 100 and 200 incidents annually
- Implement 20 to 40 new releases annually
- Respond to 100 to 150 requests for information annually

Requirements
- Post-secondary degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or equivalent combination of education/training and experience
- Experience in systems analysis, design methodologies, application development, and testing in a multi-platform networked environment
- Experience with database technologies such as Oracle, SQL, DB2, or other relational databases
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience creating and/or maintaining solutions using the Java or Microsoft technology stacks
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI and/or other business intelligence solutions

Salary Range
$74,026 - $98,802 per year
