About the Role


The Customer Relationship Associate is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by triaging and managing member needs, building strong relationships with current and potential members, and identifying opportunities to deepen financial relationships. This role involves advancing member knowledge of digital channels, answering customer questions, and addressing concerns while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.



Responsibilities


The Customer Relationship Associate will:



  • Member Service: Triages member questions and needs through digital channels and provides financial advice to members or refers them to an appropriate advisor.
  • Member Transactions: Processes a range of member transactions, including account openings, debit/credit card applications, and deposits, and directs members to digital channels to increase adoption.
  • Branch Goals: Supports achievement of annual branch goals by promoting First West products and services, participating in campaigns, and identifying cross-sell and referral opportunities.
  • Other Responsibilities: Stays knowledgeable about emerging issues, evolving regulations, and industry codes of conduct, and participates in process improvement initiatives to protect the organization's interests.
  • Branch/Team Support: Participates as a team member, assists in building a positive work environment, mentors others, and addresses communication issues efficiently.


Requirements


To be successful in this role, you should have:



  • A High School Diploma
  • Completion of FW Sales Essentials Course within 6 months of hire
  • Must complete the internal First West certification program specific to this role within the required timeframe
  • College, Trade, or Tech School Diploma (2 years) preferred
  • 2 years of retail/customer service experience or equivalent required
  • Sales and cash handling experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to identify needs and recommend products and services to members
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with current and potential members
  • Demonstrated ability to be positive, flexible, and work in a busy environment
  • Proficient in computer software programs, including Microsoft Office
  • Displays an understanding of risk and risk ownership by being able to demonstrate adherence to policies and procedures


Compensation and Benefits


This role offers a competitive salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, based on location and experience, along with benefits that include health and dental coverage, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
