Produce Department Supervisor

Freshco Coliseum 8968 is seeking a highly organized and reliable Produce Department Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our produce department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our produce section, ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality products and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a team of produce department staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to provide excellent customer service and maintain a high level of product quality.
- Merchandise Management: Order and manage the inventory of produce products, ensuring that our shelves are always fully stocked and visually appealing.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze sales reports, identifying trends and opportunities to improve sales and customer satisfaction.
- Inventory Management: Organize and maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring that our produce products are always available and in stock.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of produce department staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they are meeting their responsibilities.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
- Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong organizational and time management skills.
- Handling Heavy Loads: Ability to lift and move heavy boxes and produce products.
- Walking and Standing: Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
- Organized: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Reliability: Ability to maintain a high level of productivity and meet deadlines.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and provide support when needed.
- Awareness Training: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
- Inclusive Recruitment: Applies accessible and inclusive recruitment policies that accommodate persons with disabilities.
- Recruitment: Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster.
- Awareness Training: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
- Recruitment: Recruits Veterans and other candidates with military experience through targeted hiring initiatives.
- Elder Support: Facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
- Hiring Policies: Applies hiring policies that discourage age discrimination.
- Hiring Policies: Applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities.
