About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Tax Leader to join our team at RSM Canada LLP. This exciting opportunity will enable you to utilize your expertise in taxation and business advisory services to drive growth and deliver exceptional results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive tax strategies for our clients, including succession planning, wealth transfer planning, and tax compliance.
  • Manage and oversee engagement teams focused on partnership, corporate, and trust entities, ensuring seamless execution of client tax engagements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across specialty tax areas and cross-line of business to build strong client relationships and drive growth.
  • Provide leadership, training, and career mentorship to staff and supervisor-level team members.
  • Pursue new business opportunities with existing clients and prospects, driving revenue growth and expanding our service offerings.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • CPA license or equivalent certification.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in public accounting, with a focus on taxation and/or private client taxation, including experience in managing client engagements.
  • Expertise in entity (partnerships, corporations, trusts) and individual taxation.
  • Familiarity with gift and estate taxation.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to work collaboratively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Compensation Package

RSM offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $81,500 - $130,500, plus an eligibility for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
