We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Factory Operations Director to join our team at Finch Employment in Toronto. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead the daily operations of our mattress manufacturing facility, ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety standards are met.

Job Description

The successful candidate will oversee the entire production process, from planning to execution, ensuring compliance with quality standards, production schedules, and cost targets. They will also be responsible for monitoring and optimizing production workflow resource allocation, machinery usage, and implementing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and manage the overall production process, ensuring compliance with quality standards, production schedules, and cost targets.
  • Monitor and optimize production workflow resource allocation, machinery usage to maximize efficiency.
  • Develop and implement safety policies and practices to minimize workplace hazards and comply with local and federal regulations.
  • Evaluate and improve operational processes, including inventory management, supply chain coordination, and logistics.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, operations management, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in a manufacturing plant management role, preferably within the mattress or similar industry.
  • Strong understanding of production planning, lean manufacturing, and quality management systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Proficiency in production management software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing operational challenges.
