Job Title: Registered Nurse - Crisis Intervention Specialist

Medavie Health Services is a leading provider of primary health care solutions, emergency medical services, and community paramedicine programs across Canada. We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Mobile Mental Health Team in Prince Edward Island.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to provide crisis intervention services to individuals in need. As a member of our Mobile Mental Health Team, you will respond to crisis calls, de-escalate situations, and provide mental health and risk assessments. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans, and provide support to individuals and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to crisis calls and provide immediate support to individuals in need
  • De-escalate situations and provide mental health and risk assessments
  • Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
  • Provide support to individuals and their families
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and other agencies as needed
Requirements:
  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing and current registration with the College of Registered Nurses and Midwives of Prince Edward Island
  • Experience working in mental health settings, preferably with a focus on crisis intervention
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
