Job Title: Registered Nurse - Crisis Intervention Specialist

Medavie Health Services is a leading provider of primary health care solutions, emergency medical services, and community paramedicine programs across Canada. We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Mobile Mental Health Team in Prince Edward Island.

About the Role:

  • Respond to crisis calls across the province with the Mobile Mental Health Team
  • De-escalate situations, conduct mental health and risk assessments, and coordinate care and supports in the community
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary service providers, including law enforcement and EMS
  • Develop and implement care plans, ensuring evidence-based practices are embedded into client care

Requirements:

  • Baccalaureate degree or diploma in nursing and current registration with the College of Registered Nurses and Midwives of Prince Edward Island
  • Experience in crisis intervention, mental health, and addictions treatment
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member, independently, and adapt to a changing environment
  • Knowledge of the DSM-5, Mental Health Act, and crisis intervention in a mental health setting
