Senior Manager, Global Accounting Policies and Procedures

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to lead our Global Accounting Policies and Procedures team. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for researching and developing accounting policies and procedures, as well as implementing them across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Accounting Policy Development: Research and develop accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Implementation and Training: Implement new accounting policies and procedures across the organization, providing training and support to ensure a smooth transition.
- Analysis and Advice: Analyze complex accounting issues and provide advice and counsel to senior management on specialized transactions.
- Staying Up-to-Date: Stay current with changes to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and other major accounting standards, providing recommendations on implementation and compliance.
- Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate and establish roles and responsibilities in implementing new accounting standards.
- Canadian CPA Designation: Hold a Canadian CPA designation or equivalent.
- Strong Analytical Skills: Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to search and understand complex material efficiently.
- Financial Acumen: Have solid financial acumen and strong business acumen, with the ability to implement complex accounting requirements.
- Communication Skills: Possess superior communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
