Infrastructure Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Infrastructure Support Specialist to join our team at Watson Clinic. As a key member of our MIS department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our computer equipment and network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support for software and hardware issues, escalating complex problems to senior team members as needed.
- Configure and repair PC and peripheral equipment within a networked environment, utilizing critical thinking and logical problem-solving skills.
- Install and support mobile devices, including Wi-Fi networks, application installations, and troubleshooting.
- Implement software, hardware, and security upgrades, adhering to departmental policies and procedures.
- Familiarize yourself with Windows applications, including operating systems, MS Office products, and MS Exchange/Outlook.
- Understand and support software required for security, such as encryption, anti-virus, and firewalls.
- Participate in on-call rotations, providing after-hours support and escalating issues as required.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all equipment, collaborating with the department to ensure comprehensive records.
- Troubleshoot printing issues, both hardware and software-related, and provide support for printing fundamentals.
- Escort external vendors and support personnel, ensuring adherence to security and destruction policies.
- 2 years of experience with computer equipment, software, or other technical-related hardware.
- Current technical certifications and/or an Associate's degree in a computer-related field, with 1 year of experience in a healthcare environment.
- Excellent oral, written, and professional communication skills.
- Attention to detail, multitasking, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of common practices and procedures within the information technology field.
