Critical Care Nurse

Job Summary
Providence Health Care is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care team. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and identify patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet those needs.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to privacy policies.
Requirements
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Completion of a post-graduate critical care course or two years' recent experience in an equivalent setting.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team, prioritizing patient needs and collaborating with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
- Ability to apply decision-making and analytical skills, using critical thinking to resolve complex patient care issues.
