Critical Care Nurse

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care team at Providence Health Care. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Assess and prioritize patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, including medication administration, wound care, and other interventions.
- Monitor patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Completion of a post-graduate critical care course or two years' recent experience in an equivalent setting.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
- Ability to apply decision-making and analytical skills.
