About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Carewest Innovative Healthcare. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality care and support to our clients, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to clients, including assistance with daily living activities, mobility, and personal care.
  • Observe and report changes in client status, including physical and emotional changes.
  • Deliver prescribed medications accurately, in accordance with policy and procedure.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a recognized Health Care Aide program.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Physical ability to manage frequent lifting, transferring, and repositioning of clients.
  • Active and current registration in the Alberta HCA Directory.
  • Driver's license required.
