Job Summary:

The Healthcare Assistant will work under the supervision of the Client Service Manager to provide on-going client care, observing, monitoring, and reporting on client status/condition. This includes delivering prescribed medications accurately as per policy and procedure, maintaining professional and ethical standards at all times, and performing other related duties as required.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-going client care, observing, monitoring, and reporting on client status/condition

  • Maintain professional and ethical standards at all times
  • Perform other related duties as required
Requirements:
  • Graduation from Grade 12 is required, plus graduation from an Alberta Government recognized Health Care Aide program
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English is required
  • Must be physically capable of managing the frequent lifting, transferring, and repositioning of clients
  • Active and current registration in the Alberta HCA Directory is required
  • Related experience in a healthcare facility is an asset
