About the Role:
  • Provide on-going client care, observing and monitoring client status and reporting changes to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Deliver prescribed medications accurately, adhering to policy and procedure.
  • Work collaboratively with the interprofessional healthcare team to maintain and improve client quality of life.
  • Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for clients, adhering to Carewest's Frame of Reference, Philosophy of Care, and policies.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from Grade 12 and completion of an Alberta Government recognized Health Care Aide program.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Physical capability to manage frequent lifting, transferring, and repositioning of clients.
  • Active and current registration in the Alberta HCA Directory.
