Job Title: Healthcare Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Carewest Innovative Healthcare. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our clients.

About the Role:
  • Provide on-going client care, observing and monitoring client status and reporting changes to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Deliver prescribed medications accurately as per policy and procedure.
  • Ensure that client care is delivered in accordance with Carewest's Frame of Reference, Philosophy of Care, and Carewest policies.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from Grade 12 is required, plus graduation from an Alberta Government recognized Health Care Aide program.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English is required.
  • Must be physically capable of managing the frequent lifting, transferring, and repositioning of clients.
  • Active and current registration in the Alberta HCA Directory is required.
