Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Construction Project Manager to join our team at Thomas Cavanagh Construction Limited.

About the Role

This is a senior-level position responsible for managing large-scale construction projects from pre-construction to completion. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

About You
  • You will have a minimum of 5 years of experience managing projects in the ICI or Condo/Apartment Building industry.
  • You will hold an Architectural or Engineering diploma or degree, which is considered an asset.
  • You will maintain extensive knowledge and understanding of CCDC Contracts and Construction Law.
  • You will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving project goals.
Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely completion and adherence to budget.
  2. Oversee and manage project teams, including coordination with stakeholders, consultants, and subcontractors.
  3. Maintain up-to-date project information using Autodesk Build project management software and Microsoft Project for scheduling.
  4. Provide regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  5. Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery.
  6. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field (Architecture, Engineering, etc.).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management.
  • Strong knowledge of construction laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
