Cardiology Nurse Specialist

Job Summary
Michael Garron Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiology team. As a Cardiology Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive, effective patient-centered care in a fast-paced Cardiac Catheterization Lab environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Conduct thorough assessments and collect data to inform clinical decisions
- Apply advanced clinical knowledge and leadership skills to make appropriate nursing decisions
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements
- Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Minimum two years recent experience as a Registered Nurse in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab
- Minimum of two years critical care experience
- Previous OR experience an asset
- Knowledge of principles of hemodynamic monitoring
- Able to demonstrate excellence in Clinical Critical Care Practice
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills, conflict resolution skills, critical thinking in highly stressed situations
- Affiliation with professional organization an asset
- Ability to physically perform duties while wearing required workplace safety gear
- Good work and attendance record required
