Security Operations Manager

As a Security Lead at Guardteck Security, you will oversee site operations to ensure peak efficiency, resolve escalations promptly, and uphold regulations and procedures. Your role is pivotal in fostering a strong workplace culture and effective communication among team members.
Key Responsibilities:- Enforce Security Standards: Ensure that all security protocols are followed and maintained to prevent any security breaches.
- Attend Training and Meetings: Attend training sessions, orientation, and staff meetings as required to stay updated on the latest security procedures and protocols.
- Document Incidents: Document incidents accurately and report to management with solutions to prevent future occurrences.
- Guide Guards: Guide guards in handling challenging situations efficiently and professionally, ensuring that they are equipped to handle any situation that may arise.
- Provide Training: Provide training and orientation to new employees to ensure that they are familiar with the site layout, security protocols, and procedures.
- Manage Scheduling: Manage scheduling and attendance effectively to ensure that the site is adequately staffed at all times.
- Maintain Site Knowledge: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the site layout to ensure that you are aware of any potential security risks or vulnerabilities.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with Fire and Life Safety requirements, as well as Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
- First Aid and Safety: Oversee First Aid and safety equipment checks, maintaining documentation to ensure that all equipment is in good working condition.
- Culture and Communication: Foster a collaborative culture through constructive feedback and coaching, engaging regularly with employees to understand their needs and challenges.
- Customer Service: Promote exceptional customer service and high-quality performance, ensuring that all interactions with clients and employees are professional and courteous.
- Initiatives and Events: Support company initiatives and special events, upholding Kandor Management's core values.
- Security Experience: 1-2 years of security experience or relevant combination of education and experience.
- Valid Security License: Valid Security License and First Aid/CPR Certification.
- Training and Certifications: Completion of basic security training (e.g., Conflict Management, Use of Force) is an asset, as well as leadership training.
- Skills and Abilities: Strong customer service skills, excellent communication and leadership abilities, knowledge of security system databases, and strong problem-solving skills.
