About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented student to join our Library team as a Student, Library Assistant. In this role, you will work closely with our Client Relations team to support information professionals in delivering exceptional service to researchers at the Bank of Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute service requests for SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams
  • Search peer-reviewed business databases and summarize key executives to create executive profiles for senior leadership
  • Assist with print collection weeding and capture metadata of historical documents for digitization purposes
  • Support various tasks or projects from other managers within the division
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a student in a degree in information technology or library technology at a college or university (undergraduate level)
  • Returning to school in the next academic term
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to work in a team environment
