Job Title: Casual Library Technician

We are seeking a qualified Casual Library Technician to support our elementary and secondary school libraries. As a Casual Library Technician, you will be responsible for assisting students and teachers with accessing resources, maintaining the library database, and performing various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist students and teachers with locating books and materials
  • Maintain the library database and track inventory
  • Perform cataloging and classification tasks
  • Support the development of a makerspace environment
Requirements:
  • Completion of a community college diploma in Library Information or an equivalent program
  • 1-2 years of library work experience
  • Knowledge of library methodologies and tools
  • Ability to operate an automated library information system
