About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at FunctionAbility Rehabilitation Services. As an Occupational Therapist - Mental Health Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing expert assessment and treatment services to individuals experiencing complex mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat individuals with mental health conditions, including PTSD, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and bipolar disorder.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on occupational analysis and clinical reasoning.
  • Liaise with WSIB and community mental health partners to facilitate client goals and independence.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists and psychotherapists, to provide comprehensive care.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families to promote independence and quality of life.
Requirements
  • University degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in mental health occupational therapy.
  • Strong clinical and administrative skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
