Job Description

Overview

Youth for Christ is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Executive Director. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and operational management of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a shared vision for the organization, aligning with our mission and values.
  • Lead the Operations Team in ensuring the effective management of administrative needs, including finance, human resources, and facilities.
  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop, update, and implement policies and guidelines that ensure compliance with government regulations and best practices.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including supporters, churches, and community leaders.
  • Develop and maintain a network of ministry partners to fundraise for the organization's needs.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of a database to track ministry partners and communicate with them effectively.
  • Coordinate annual staff and Board off-site meetings for spiritual rejuvenation, team development, and planning.
  • Complete YFC Canada Credentialing Training and continually develop skills in managing complexity, diversity, and change, as well as visionary thinking, planning, decision-making, and evaluation.

Requirements

  • Reputable Christian character and a strong commitment to our Statement of Faith, Community Covenant, and policy manuals.
  • Proven experience in leadership and management, with a track record of success in developing and implementing strategic plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong fundraising and networking skills, with the ability to develop and maintain a network of ministry partners.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
