Research Scientist Opportunity

The University of Saskatchewan is seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our team at the Saskatchewan Cyclotron Facility. As a Research Scientist, you will provide collaborative scientific support for researchers who access the facility's specialized resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in planning and implementing user research projects that require access to facility resources;
  • Collaborate with research users to ensure safe operation of specialized equipment and analyze data;
  • Communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders and lead internal projects to advance facility capabilities;
  • Advising the team and users to achieve best outcomes and minimize risks;
  • Maintain standards of quality and ensure compliance with regulations.

Requirements:

  • PhD or Masters in chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, engineering, or physics;
  • At least three years of post-educational experience in a research laboratory supporting innovation with nuclear and/or particle accelerator methods;
  • Experience in hands-on operation of imaging equipment and data analysis.
