About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and mentorship to senior accountants, overseeing balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations, directing internal monthly reporting processes, and reviewing financial statements for private investors. They will also assist in preparing corporate financial statements and management reports, review analytical financial reports, and work with internal stakeholders to ensure results are consistent with plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to senior accountants, promoting their professional development and ensuring they have the necessary tools to excel in their roles.
  • Credit Reconciliation: Direct and review balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations for income-producing business segments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Oversee internal monthly reporting processes, review monthly reports, and prepare financial statements for private investors.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Assist in preparing corporate financial statements and management reports, adhering to relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Education: University degree in Finance, Commerce (or relevant field) and CPA certification.
  • Experience: 4+ years of manager and/or leadership experience, preferably with Big 4 firms.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, knowledge of IFRS accounting and financial reporting, and experience with other Microsoft Office products.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, and self-motivation.
