Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our team in Lillooet, BC. As a Medical Laboratory Assistant, you will be responsible for performing various duties such as taking blood and specimen samples from patients, preparing blood and other specimens for analysis, performing routine lab tests, distributing specimens to departments and outside Labs, operating related equipment, entering data into the LIS, and performing related clerical duties and ECG testing as required.

About this Location

Lillooet is a rural mountain town located on the unceded territory of the St'at'imc Nation. The site offers a 24/7 emergency department, inpatient beds, medical, palliative, maternity, and part-time operating room services. The hospital is co-located with the Mountain View Lodge long-term care facility, offering multi-disciplinary allied health and community health services.

This is a Monday-to-Friday day shift position with varying shift times. Steeped in history, culture, and tradition, the area enjoys a semi-desert climate with dry summers and milder winters.
