**Functional Role**

As the Accounting Clerk you will provide general support to the Finance Department as required including holiday cover. You are required to perform all tasks in an effective, complete and professional manner and are responsible for adhering to all policies and values of Coastal Mountain Excavations Ltd. while at work.

**Qualifications**
- CPA, PCP or working towards certification
- High school diploma and completion of college or other accounting courses is preferred
- Knowledge of accounts payable and time sheets
- Knowledge of general accounting procedures
- Knowledge of relevant accounting software
- Proficient in data entry and data management

**Lead, manage, accountability**
- Accountable to the Chief Financial Officer

**Payroll Duties**
- Receiving and processing time sheets from field and office staff
- Identifying missing and lost time sheets communicating with supervisors
- Match HCSS vs timesheets
- Entering time sheets into Jonas according to employment standards
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies
- Maintain and update payroll records
- Issue ROE’S according to CRA standards
- Calculate STAT holiday pay, according to employment standards
- Prepare backup and pay reimbursements, allowances and vacation, according to employment standards

**AP Duties**
- Sort, code and match invoices
- Reconcile Accounts Payable transactions
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
- Maintain vendor files
- Match invoices with monthly statements
- Printing and sorting invoices for approval
- Entering invoices into Jonas
- Preparing cheques to be mailed
- Reconciling gravel to invoices
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
- Maintain vendor files
- Correspond with vendors

**General Accounting Duties**
- Entering equipment into Jonas
- Entering gravel slips into Jonas
- Entering trucking slips into Jonas
- Other ad hoc accounting and admin duties as required

**Salary**: $27.00-$36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
