BMO is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Treasury Associate, Capital Markets. This role will be responsible for providing treasury products solutions, advice, and expertise to corporate, institutional, and government clients worldwide.


Main Responsibilities:



  • Act as the sales contact for clients, providing product information, pricing, and implementation timeframes.
  • Gather detailed information from clients to move sales forward, including completing necessary documentation.
  • Assist the team in pre-sales activities, such as pitch preparation and client research.
  • Support sales activities, including presentations, bids/proposals, and requests for information.
  • Develop an effective external network to identify new business opportunities.
  • Retrain and expand existing relationships to achieve portfolio retention and sales objectives.
  • Establish and enhance the Bank's brand by participating in business and community events.
  • Participate in industry forums and conferences to stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitive insights.
  • Provide feedback on and support continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Lead and provide direction to Analysts, accountable for their development and mentoring.
  • Achieve sales and other targets established by business plans.
  • Optimize opportunities through deal teams and sales calls, maximizing business success.
  • Consider risk, internal controls, and compliance in daily accountabilities and adhere to policies and procedures.
  • Continuously assess and improve work processes for sales and service management, risk management, and compliance.
  • Influence the strategic direction of the line of business, collaborating on initiative development and implementation.

Requirements:



  • Typically between 2-5 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Deal/transaction execution and project management skills.
  • Initiative, prioritization, and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience.
  • Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth.
