About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Youth Worker to join our team at Cross Roads Residential Youth Care. As a key member of our residential program, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for youth in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Training: Provide educational support and guidance to youth, promoting their academic and personal development.
  • Experience and Skills: Utilize your experience working with children and youth to create a positive and engaging environment, fostering a sense of belonging and community.
  • Work Site Environment: Collaborate with our team to ensure a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to child welfare and security protocols.
  • Supervision and Support: Provide one-on-one supervision and support to youth, addressing their individual needs and promoting their well-being.
  • Transportation and Travel: Safely transport youth to and from appointments, activities, and outings, utilizing your own vehicle or employer-provided transportation.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of an Other Trades Certificate or Diploma.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience working with children and youth in a residential or group home setting.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with youth, staff, and community partners.
  • Certifications: Valid driver's license, criminal record check, and child welfare check.
