About the Role

Hansra Law is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Paralegal to join our team. As a key member of our corporate law department, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients' business growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Support: Provide strategic legal and business advice to clients, helping them navigate complex business transactions and agreements.
  • Contract Management: Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other documents to ensure compliance with corporate laws and regulations.
  • Corporate Filings: Organize and coordinate corporate filings and entity registrations, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Transaction Support: Assist with mergers and acquisitions, franchise transactions, and other business deals, providing expert guidance on key terms and negotiations.
  • Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on their business and contract matters.
  • Precedent Database Management: Update and maintain our precedent database with new contract types and custom-drafted clauses.
Requirements
  • Licenses and Certifications: Licensed paralegal in Ontario with experience in corporate, franchise, or transactional law.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in business, franchise, or commercial transactional law in Ontario.
  • Skills: Strong drafting and negotiation skills, excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal technology.
