About the Role

Miller Paving AMC is seeking a highly skilled Winter Maintenance Operator to join our team. As a key member of our winter maintenance team, you will be responsible for safely operating a combo plow unit, performing snow removal on local roads and highways as per the contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a combo plow unit to clear snow and ice from roads and highways
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to equipment as required
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including fuel reports, safety reports, and hours of service
  • Meet call-in requirements during winter storm events
  • Familiarize yourself with route maps and sand/salt application rates

Requirements

  • DZ or AZ license with a clean driver's abstract required
  • Available to respond to call-ins within thirty minutes
  • Ability to operate a loader and perform other maintenance duties
  • Ability to work assigned shifts, and extended hours as winter events require
  • Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to drive manual transmission
  • Previous experience in winter-works operations
  • Mechanical knowledge and ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to equipment
  • Good understanding of MTO standards and AMC Contract Performance Requirements
