We are currently seeking qualified individuals for the role of Winter Works Combo/Plow Operators. The winter maintenance season typically spans from October to April, contingent on weather conditions. We offer competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package. Minimum Qualifications:
- A valid DZ or AZ license with a clean driving record is essential.
- Must be available for call-ins within a thirty-minute timeframe.
- Proficiency in operating a loader and performing maintenance tasks such as patrolling, patching, and minor equipment upkeep.
- Flexibility to work assigned shifts, including extended hours during evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays as required by winter events.
- Willingness to work in challenging weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience driving manual transmission vehicles.
- Previous involvement in winter operations.
- Mechanical aptitude, with the ability to conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
- Familiarity with MTO standards and AMC Contract Performance Requirements.
Role Overview:
As a Snow Plow Operator, you will play a crucial role in our winter maintenance team. Your primary responsibility will be to operate a combo plow unit safely, executing snow removal on local roads and highways in accordance with contract specifications. In addition to road duties, you will maintain accurate records, including fuel and safety reports, and ensure the cleanliness and functionality of the equipment through routine maintenance and minor repairs. Familiarity with route maps and application rates for sand/salt will be essential, along with the ability to respond promptly during winter storm events.
