Hotel Front Desk Clerk Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Hotel Front Desk Clerk to join our team at Nimpo Lake Resort Ltd.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Registration: Register arriving guests and assign rooms in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Front Desk Operations: Process group arrivals and departures, take, cancel and change room reservations, and provide information on hotel facilities and services.
  • Customer Service: Provide general information about points of interest in the area, process guests' departures, calculate charges and receive payments, and maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform clerical duties such as faxing, filing, and photocopying, and answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages.
  • Support Services: Assist clients/guests with special needs, provide customer service, and offer support for persons with disabilities, newcomers and refugees, and Indigenous people.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Work Setting: Hotel, motel, resort.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
