Regulatory Compliance and Ethics Leader

Join WSP's Latin Americas and Caribbean region to play a pivotal role in shaping the company's ethics and compliance standards. As a Regional Ethics and Compliance Officer, you will lead a team in delivering specialized services, including training, policy development, internal investigations, and risk management.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Oversight of WSP Global Ethics and Compliance activities in the region
  • Reporting to the Head of Ethics and Compliance for the Americas and indirectly to the WSP Global Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer
  • Selecting, training, and supervising the regional Ethics and Compliance team
  • Managing the regional Ethics and Compliance budget
  • Providing regular updates on team performance, including metrics tied to regional performance and compensation

Advisory and Governance:



  • Providing expert guidance on regulatory developments in the region
  • Advising on ethics and compliance risk mitigation and guiding on sensitive matters
  • Coordinating risk assessments for corruption, competition, reputational, and other risks

Policies, Procedures, and Education:



  • Reviewing and adapting WSP Global ethics and compliance training, Code of Conduct, and policies
  • Creating region-specific training, policies, and procedures as needed
  • Coordinating online training for new hires and existing employees

Investigations and Reporting:



  • Managing allegations of misconduct and conducting investigations
  • Assessing employee survey results for opportunities to improve ethical culture

Requirements:



  • Master's degree or equivalent in a related field
  • At least 10 years of experience in ethics, compliance, audit, finance, or legal functions
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Experience in an international company
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detailed knowledge of anti-corruption, fair competition, and human rights protection regimes

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Professional certification in a related field
  • Knowledge of Brazilian Portuguese or US/Canada multi-national firm ethics and compliance expectations

Note: Knowledge of the WSP region's countries and cultures is advantageous.
