Job Description

Regional Ethics and Compliance Officer

WSP Latin Americas and Caribbean (WSP LAC) region seeks a highly skilled Regional Ethics and Compliance Officer to join its team. The successful candidate will manage a regional ethics and compliance team, delivering specialized services including training, policy development, internal investigations, third-party due diligence, and risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the implementation of WSP Global Ethics and Compliance activities in the region.
  • Report to the designated Head of Ethics and Compliance for the Americas and indirectly to the WSP Global Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer.
  • Select, train, and supervise the regional Ethics and Compliance team.
  • Manage the budget of the regional Ethics and Compliance function.
  • Provide regular updates to the WSP Global Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer and executive management on performance metrics and compensation.

Key Responsibilities

  • As a subject matter expert, update regional management on regulatory developments related to ethics and compliance.
  • Advise regional management on ethics and compliance risk mitigation and guide on ethical and reputationally sensitive matters.
  • Manage and coordinate risk assessment activities, including corruption, competition, reputational, and other risks.

Requirements

  • Academic degree (or equivalent).
  • 10 or more years of experience in ethics, compliance, audit, finance, or legal functions.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Experience from an international company.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Knowledge of anti-corruption, fair competition, anti-money-laundering, sanctions, and human-rights-protection regimes.
  • Experience developing and conducting training, implementing policies and procedures, and handling complex compliance issues or investigations.
  • Experience engaging with stakeholders at executive seniority level.
