About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Telecommunications Technician to join our team at Allamani Technical Solutions Ltd. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance
    • Install and maintain telecommunications equipment, including cable modems and software.
    • Connect, disconnect, and relocate cable outlets.
  • Repair and Troubleshooting
    • Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace, or repair telecommunications equipment.
    • Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment.
  • Customer Service
    • Complete and maintain test and service reports.
    • Determine nature, cause, and location of trouble.
    • Initiate the dispatch of appropriate repair personnel.
  • Transportation and Travel
    • Valid driver's licence.
    • Willing to travel.
  • Work Environment
    • Fast-paced environment.
    • Tight deadlines.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Ability to distinguish between colours.
    • Combination of sitting, standing, walking.

Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
Language and Work Environment

This is a permanent position with a 30-35 hour work week. The work language is English.
