Job Title: Telecommunications Technician

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team at Allamani Technical Solutions Ltd. As a Telecommunications Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and networks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Repair and maintain telecommunications equipment, including cable modems and software.
  • Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace or repair telecommunications equipment as needed.
  • Complete and maintain test and service reports to document work completed.
  • Determine the nature, cause, and location of trouble, and initiate the dispatch of appropriate repair personnel.
  • Operate computerized testing systems to conduct service tests on customer lines and equipment.
  • Connect, disconnect, and relocate cable outlets as required.
  • Determine work assignments and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in telecommunications installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colors.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to perform physical tasks, including bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Client focus, flexibility, and team player skills.
Work Environment:

Our team at Allamani Technical Solutions Ltd. works in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. As a Telecommunications Technician, you will be required to work in a variety of settings, including installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment and networks.
