Job Title: Telecommunications Technician

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team at Allamani Technical Solutions Ltd. As a Telecommunications Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and networks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment
  • Repair cable signals and diagnose equipment faults
  • Complete and maintain test and service reports
  • Determine nature, cause, and location of trouble
  • Initiate dispatch of repair personnel
  • Operate computerized testing systems to conduct service tests
  • Connect, disconnect, and relocate cable outlets
  • Determine work assignments and install cable modems
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel
  • Fast-paced environment, tight deadlines, and attention to detail
  • Ability to distinguish between colours, manual dexterity, and combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • Client focus, flexibility, team player, and accurate
Work Environment:
  • Installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment and networks
  • Rural area and willingness to relocate
Experience:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in telecommunications
  • Permanent position with 30 to 35 hours per week
  • Language of work: English
