Data Science Manager

Socotra, Inc. is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Data Science team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of data-driven solutions that drive business growth and improve customer experience.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Manage a team of data scientists and engineers, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Strategy and Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute technical strategies that align with business objectives.
- Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying your knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our data science capabilities.
- Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate technical concepts and ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and prioritize technical challenges, developing and implementing solutions that drive business value and improve customer outcomes.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams, with a strong background in data science and engineering.
- Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or SQL, familiarity with data processing frameworks and tools like Spark, Kafka, and Airflow.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, with a strong track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
