About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Science Manager to lead our data science and engineering teams at Lyft. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for driving the development of our data-driven products and services.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of data scientists and engineers to design, develop, and deploy data-driven solutions that drive business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and develop data-driven strategies to address them.
  • Develop and maintain a high-performing team culture that fosters innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Partner with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our data science and engineering teams are equipped to tackle complex problems.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams, with a strong background in data science and engineering.
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and delivering business outcomes through data-driven solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong technical skills, with experience in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Spark.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS and Kubernetes.
