Job Summary

About the Role

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to implement individualized education plans for students with special needs.

This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other support staff.
  • Provide educational and pedagogical support to students with special needs, including preparation and organization of activities.
  • Assist students with learning activities in class and provide individualized support as needed.
  • Counsel students on social, emotional, and behavioral issues, and apply crisis intervention techniques as necessary.
  • Supervise students who require additional support outside of the classroom setting.
Requirements
  • Diploma of College Studies in special care counseling or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working with students with special needs and creation of individualized education plans.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Computer skills and proficiency in software related to the job.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
