We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance and Platform Management Specialist to join our Service Management Technology team at Scotiabank. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of CSDM 3.0 or 4.0, hands-on experience with ServiceNow, and a strong understanding of data lineage concepts and governance tools.

This role involves setting standards, taxonomy, naming conventions, and defining data stewards for Scotia ServiceNow foundational data. You will also be responsible for implementing platform foundational data in accordance with the CSDM framework, creating data access standards and procedures, and managing data-related requests.

In addition, you will design, document, and manage IT business processes associated with platform foundational data source, creation, management, and retirement. This includes coordinating with various owners of platform foundational data areas to ensure data integrity and relationship management.

As a Data Governance and Platform Management Specialist, you will analyze exception data to identify potential accuracy issues, investigate, and report on remediation options. You will also conduct control gap analysis to identify root causes of incorrect data and recommend remedial actions.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of job-related experience, excellent communication skills, and a post-secondary education with a focus on Computer Science or Engineering disciplines. A good understanding of relational database concepts, data mining, and ETL processes is also essential.
