About Our Opportunity
As a key member of the Policy Division, you will play a vital role in leading the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of training programs to support the skill development of Nova Scotia Environment and Climate Change staff.
This includes conducting comprehensive needs assessments, creating engaging course content, and delivering effective training sessions. You will work collaboratively with departmental teams to develop and implement wide-ranging training programs, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
You will also facilitate meetings for various work units within Nova Scotia Environment and Climate Change, utilizing your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster a cohesive and collaborative workplace.
In this dynamic role, you will have the opportunity to guide all aspects of the development and delivery of our training programs, leveraging your expertise in adult education, research, and training delivery. You will possess an advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, graphics, and presentation software, as well as excellent organizational and self-motivation skills.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. A certificate in adult education and experience in graphic recording are considered assets.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of the importance of effective training and development, as well as a commitment to lifelong learning.
