Job Title: Shift Team Lead

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Shift Team Lead to join our team at Ontario Inc. As a Shift Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service establishment, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that all tasks are completed on time.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain a high level of quality and efficiency.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all food safety and sanitation procedures are followed.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure that they are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation to minimize waste and ensure that we have sufficient stock.
  • Hire food service staff to ensure that we have a skilled and motivated team.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and address any customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates to ensure that we are operating within our means.
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to ensure that we are making informed business decisions.
  • Prepare and submit reports to management to ensure that they are informed of our progress and any issues that may arise.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service establishment.
  • Basic security clearance.
  • Own transportation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Initiative and dependability.
