About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Risk Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to security threats and incidents within our environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains thorough, up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity threats and incident response best practices.
  • Maintains system cybersecurity monitoring operations, and performs cyber incident triage to determine scope, urgency, and potential impact of the incident.
  • Analyzes threat intelligence data to identify potential risks and inform security strategies and makes recommendations for remediation.
  • Proactively searches for threats using a variety of Computer Network Defense (CND) tools, including intrusion detection system alerts, firewall, and network traffic logs, and host system logs.
  • Conducts a root cause analysis for each incident to define follow-up action items and to make recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Documents all activities that occurred during an incident using established methodologies and procedures and lessons learned for future reference.
  • Proactively monitors network traffic, systems, and security logs for suspicious activity.
  • Implement established incident response procedures to contain, eradicate, and recover from security incidents.
  • Coordinates with relevant teams to perform response activities and mitigate further damage.
  • Lead the development and improvement of security policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Provides technical support and guidance to other members of the IT team on security best practices.
  • Generates regular reports on security incidents, threat trends, and the effectiveness of security measures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • 4-7 years of experience in cybersecurity management.
  • Experience in firewall policy development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Proven experience with Fortinet firewalls and other Fortinet appliances.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Security (Conditional Access Policies).
  • Knowledge of Network Segmentation and ZTNA.
  • Proven experience with Vulnerability Management.
  • Experience with Sentinel One EDR.
  • VOIP experience and more specifically Bell Total Connect.
