About the Role

MacEwen Petroleum Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for monitoring and responding to security threats and incidents within our environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of cybersecurity threats and incident response best practices.
  • Monitor system cybersecurity operations, perform cyber incident triage, and analyze threat intelligence data to identify potential risks.
  • Proactively search for threats using CND tools, including intrusion detection system alerts, firewall logs, and network traffic logs.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for each incident, define follow-up action items, and make recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Implement established incident response procedures to contain, eradicate, and recover from security incidents.
  • Develop and improve security policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Provide technical support and guidance on security best practices to other IT team members.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • 4-7 years of experience in cybersecurity management.
  • Experience with firewall policy development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Security and Network Segmentation.
  • Experience with SentinelOne EDR and VOIP technology is an asset.
