Job Title: Casual Physiotherapist, Ambulatory Program

Baycrest is seeking a Casual Physiotherapist to join our Ambulatory Program team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality physiotherapy services to our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and provide treatment interventions to patients with complex geriatric, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Collaborate with the inter-professional team to develop and implement client-focused care plans, and coordinate discharge planning processes.
  • Provide education and support to patients, caregivers, and family members, as well as participate in the teaching and mentoring of physiotherapy and physiotherapy assistant students.
  • Assign patient plans of care, provide direction and supervision to physiotherapy assistants, and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Support the development and implementation of evidence-based programs, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Licensure in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
  • Membership or eligibility for membership with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (an asset).
  • Experience working with geriatric populations with multiple medical conditions and/or cognitive impairment (preferred).
  • Confirmed status as ADP authorizer required.
  • Expertise in clinical assessments of elderly clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Meditech, MDS, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
